Professional from The Atlanta Broadcast Institute (ABI) were the prime choice to cover the 2007 Primerica Convention held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA. ABI graduates Carlos Cruz and Julie Stefanowicz, and current ABI student Spencer Wilkerson did an exceptional job managing the media and production logistics for one of the largest conventions held at the Georgia Dome, where 60,000 attendees came out in support of Primerica. There were over 200 rigging, lighting, and broadcast professionals, over 500 moving lights, 2000 miles of cable runs, $20 million worth of LED screens, 3 tripod cameras, 3 jib-crane cameras, and two hand-held cameras.

A Swing and A Hit For ABI

The Atlanta Broadcast Institute (ABI) has the magic touch when it comes to preparing students for careers in broadcasting and production. Casey Bass, is an ABI instructor and ABI graduate who seems to spread good luck to everyone he encounters. While attending ABI, Casey’s instructor and mentor, Amy Walker, knew Casey was prepared to leave the proverbial broadcasting and production nest, and with a little nudge from Amy, Casey landed on his feet and worked with the Braves Radio Network.

The Atlanta Broadcast Institute is called upon to complete a video documentary for The Vision of Excellence summer camp program assisting overweight girls to understand and make good decisions about their long term health and fitness.

Local School Covers Evander Holyfield’s Annual Celebration

Atlanta Broadcast Institute (ABI) located in Norcross, GA was chosen by the executive team of the Evander Holyfield Foundation to provide media coverage of their annual Evander Holyfield Foundation’s July 4th Celebration at Mr. Holyfield’s palatial estate. The event is one-way Mr. Holyfield gives back and funds programs helping disadvantaged youths to become productive citizens. A week before the event, the foundation contacted Thea Marcacci, President of ABI and within four days, Thea and her team donated their time, their equipment, and their professional talents to implement the logistics for the celebration. The ABI team moved into action with the precision of a major tour production. The team came prepared with solutions, alternatives, and even answers for other vendors. As fate would have it, Thea Marcacci and Evander Holyfield are in the same ring when it comes to benevolence and supporting a worthy cause. ABI helped to turn this great cause into a memorable event with great media coverage.
