Heat Headed Back to the Home Court

The Miami will take the court on Wednesday at home in game five of the second round of NBA Playoffs, against the Chicago Bulls. The Heat beat the Bull on Monday 88-65 in Chicago. LeBron James had 27 points, including seven rebounds and Chris Bosh threw in 14 points and six rebounds to help the team to victory.

Heat Pull off Another Win over Chicago

LeBron James came down strong on the Bulls Friday night, and finished the game with 25 points, combined with 20 points and 19 rebounds from Chris Bosh. The Heat continued on to win one of the most lopsided playoff games in Miami history 104-94 and went on to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

"Sexy and I Know It" Rapper to Possibly Play in US Open Tennis

Rapper Redfoo- famous for the song “Sexy and I Know It”, has a hidden tennis talent. The rapper has entered the US Open national playoffs, with hopes of earning a spot in the August tennis tournament. Redfoo will play under the name Stefan Gordy, which is the rapper’s given name. Redfoo will play in a California qualifying tournament in June, in both the singles and doubles categories.

LeBron and Wade- Lay Low Against the Spurs

The Heat were victorious over the Spurs on Sunday night, even without LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Both sat out the win due to injuries. LaBron with a right hamstring strain that had occurred during the first half of Friday’s game against the New Orlean’s Hornets. Wade sat out with a right ankle injury sustained in Wednesday night’s loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova Advance to Finals at Sony Open

Serena Williams has once again owned the Sony Open Tennis tournament in Miami. The top player blew through a semifinal match against Agnieska Radwanska winning 6-0 and 6-3. A 27 game winning streak came to a halt last night for the Miami Heat in Chicago. The Bulls pulled off a 101-97 upset that marked the first Heat loss since February 1st. Despite two key players, Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, due to injuries, the Bulls came out on top.

The Miami Heat are continuing their climb towards breaking the NBA record for consecutive wins. That would be 33. Players are trying not to focus on the streak, but instead the goal is to win the championship.

US Open Tennis Prizes to Reach 50 Million by 2017

The stakes just got higher at one of the top tennis tournaments. US Open officials have announced that the annual prize money will be $50 million by 2017- which is nearly double what it was in 2012. The US Open tournament will also switch back to a Sunday men’s final in 2015.
