$1 Crabfries at Chickie's & Pete's on National French Fry Day

Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/12/2016 -- For the second straight year, Chickie's & Pete's will be celebrating National French Fry Day with "Crabfries® for Heroes" on Wednesday, July 13th by selling its world famous Crabfries® at all full-service locations for one dollar from 11 a.m. to midnight. The restaurant will also be offering five-dollar Miller Lite personal pitchers during the same period of time. Through their partnership with the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund, Chickies's & Pete's will donate all sales from each order of Crabfries® sold and each Miller Lite personal pitcher sold during the day to the Survivors Fund, which will benefit the families of fallen police officers.

"This is a tradition at Chickie's & Pete's to show our respect and appreciation to recognize the heroes who put their lives on the line for us each day," said Pete Ciarrocchi, Chairman and CEO of Chickie's & Pete's. "We're again partnering with the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund for what we proudly call, Crabfries® for Heroes."

In 2015, Chickie's & Pete's raised over $15,000 from The Crabfries® for Heroes event for the Police Survivors Fund.

"We can't say enough about Pete Ciarrocchi and Chickie's & Pete's," said John McNesby, President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5. "Pete and his restaurants have been there for us both publically and privately for many years with their support. Crabfries® for Heroes is a fun way to help our police families and we can't thank Chickie's & Pete's enough for backing our fallen police officers."

The flagship Chickie's & Pete's location on Packer Avenue in South Philadelphia will mark National Crabfries® Day by hosting their Annual Crabfries® Eating Contest. The person to eat the most Crabfries® will receive FREE Crabfries® for LIFE and a $1,000 Visa Gift Card.
