2013 Summer to Be Money-Saver Compared to 2012 Reports UK Family Holiday Parks

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/08/2013 -- Over three-quarters of foreign holidays are now cheaper this summer than in 2012, according to new research.

A study held by the online agent On the Beach, recently compared the like-for-like rates for a week-long stay for two adults to destinations across various countries, at popular destinations.

When compared, the 2013 prices showed “massive savings” for holidaymakers in the new year. This, despite a 2.7% rise in inflation and other increasing prices such as fuel, many vacationers to summer destinations are likely save up to 25% this year as compared to last. In the research conducted, Madeira offered the best values for the summer.

A week's worth of a three-star holiday at a bed-and-breakfast establishment for two on the Portuguese island cost just around £799 last year, and will now be nearly two-hundred less at £599 in 2013.

Cyprus is also seeing large drops in the prices for holiday packages, saving up to 20% since last year's totals. Bulgaria is proving a quality destination as well, offering nearly 15% discounts when compared to the 2012 summer prices.

Other hot-spots with great drops in price include Tenerife, Sham El Sheikh, and Greece which dropped 14%, 13%, and 12% respectively.
