Pune, Maharashtra -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/02/2017 -- Pune's No. 1 Boarding School, MIT Pune's Vishwashanti Gurukul recently organized its 2nd International Schools Sports Association Sports Meet at its Sports Complex in Rajbaug Lone Kalbhor, Pune. This sports meet was scheduled to be held from 19th January to 21st January 2017, where a number of sports competition were hosted, such as football, basketball, swimming etc. The opening ceremony was graced by CEO of DSK Shivajians Football Club. In his inaugural speech, Mr. Neel Shah shared how his passion enabled him to pursue a management degree in the field of sports.

There were 824 participants and 8 schools participated in the event. Vishwashanti Gurukul – the defending champions had a tough and thrilling competition on the first day from the visiting schools. The score status of day 1, impelled the participants to focus on team play, strategize and give their best to retain the Champions Trophy.
On day 3, the score tables proved the best from amongst the good and Vishwashanti Gurukul emerged as the roaring winners with a highly impressive tally of medals. Congratulations to every participant who gave their best to retain the champion's trophy. The Sports Department at Vishwashanti Gurukul by virtue of their strategies, personified the motto of ISSA – 'Passion, Power, Speed'.
