Las Vegas, NV -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/12/2013 -- Advaxis, Inc. (OTC:ADXS) announced that researchers of University of Pennsylvania working on ADXS-cHER2 Immunotherapy have received Penn One Health Award. Dr. Nicola Mason was the chief investigator of the Penn canine study along with scientific founder of Advaxis Dr. Yvonne Paterson.

The research team worked on treatment of canine osteosarcoma and got inaugural University of Pennsylvania One Health Award. Dr. Nicola Mason says that Phase 1 of the clinical trial is complete and it is great to find that there are no adverse effects of the treatment. Also he added that data shows that it will offer safer treatment for dogs with cancer.

AdvaxisInc operates in biotechnology industry and manufactures immunotherapies related to cancer and other diseases. Technology used by the company for treatment of HI is also under progress. Advaxis has effectively worked on immunotherapies for cancer types of prostate and HER2 expressing cancers.
