Orlando, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/25/2012 -- Amazon revealed to ABC that the new models of the Kindle Fire would be pre-packaged with its special advertisements. This is common across the board, as the existing Kindle devices also display full-screen advertisements when the e-readers are in sleep mode or are switched off.

The company further stated that there was absolutely no means to diffuse these advertisements on the Kindle Fire HD devices. On the new tablets, the advertisements are visible on the lock screen and make up the promotion for books and movies the consumer may wish to purchase through Amazon.

When Amazon first made the new devices public, it failed to state that the firm would now be pursuing a more aggressive marketing strategy with Amazon movies, books, and other such deals. The company’s Kindle Fire HD retails at US $199, but can rise to $214 if one does not want advertisements on the screen.

“We know from our Kindle reader line that customers love our special offers and very few people choose to opt out. We’re happy to offer customers the choice,” an Amazon employee stated. The company modified its claim through the weekend and now claims to present consumers with a choice to get rid of the advertisements for USD $15.

The brand new seven-inch Kindle Fire HD contains a dual-core processor and enhanced MIMO WiFi in addition to stereo speakers. The company plans to start moving to consumers, beginning September 14, 2012. However, the bigger nine-inch screen model that contains a better screen resolution will be available towards the end of the current year.
