San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/14/2014 -- AMG Services and Simply Awesome Cars (SAC) are finalizing the venue for a vintage car exhibition in San Diego. The event will showcase historical car models along with their owners.

“We have a large following of vintage car lovers, many of whom own old, passionately maintained Buicks, Pontiacs, Mustangs, Chevys, and other classic cars,” says SAC’s Bill Cargill. “We have even received inquiries from Europe and the Middle East. Car collectors love to show off their prized possessions.”

AMG Services has a twenty-year history of curating exhibitions and events, but the vintage car show will be the first one of its kind. AMG Services will manage everything from the permissions and venue booking, to invitations and media coverage.

“We haven’t booked the venue yet,” says AMG Services’ project coordinator Glenn Bogart, “but it will be somewhere close to Pacific Beach.” He said that the venue will be announced as soon as the reservation is made.

San Diego is home to many vintage car clubs and hosts the International Auto Show, but no vintage car event of international stature has been held in the city. AMG Services has already started working on the event design. The marketing for the event, as well as the vetting of sponsors, is expected to start by August this year.

“We are targeting the end of year holidays,” says SAC’s Bill Cargill. “San Diego is teeming with tourists around that time and the car show will be a major attraction, we believe.”
