Antron Engineering & Machine Enhances Comprehensive Safety Program

Bellingham, MA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/08/2019 -- Antron Engineering and Machine has announced the enhancement of its ongoing safety efforts with the implementation of a system-wide employee safety committee.

The Antron safety committee comprised of 8 staff members, meets monthly to review all areas of the company, looking for opportunities to improve safety for employees. This safety committee system has become part of regular operations and has resulted in more than 300 days without a recordable accident. Safe operations are crucial to both the completion of client projects as well as employee job satisfaction.

"Our Antron Engineering employee safety committee has helped us enhance our laser focus in this important area," said Antron VP, John Kauker. "On both the shop floor and the front office we have reached a new level of safety for our employees and that translates into a consistent quality of production for our clients."

In the past few months the committee has worked on additional operational classes and training for everything from forklift and crane operations, to the mezzanine system, CPR and first aid. Physical safety topics were also addressed including an update to fire evacuation drills and procedures, additional fire extinguishers, updated floor plans for emergencies and new emergency lights.

In all cases, tracking the issues and their subsequent resolutions are in the hands of a staff member who is responsible for completion and follow-up reporting.

"We are proud of Antron's focus on safety and our strong safety record," said Production Manager, Donald Kaiser. "We are also thankful for the employees serving on our safety committee who help with this ongoing process of reviewing, improving and implementing our many safe operation procedures."
