New activities for students to enjoy in Bournemouth: Wheels Festival and Bournemouth Air Show.
Bournemouth, Dorset -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/25/2014 -- Immersion in the sounds and sights of a second language is known to be the best and more rapid method of learning to speak it. As an accredited language school, ETC International College offers some particularly good opportunities of enjoying the English-speaking culture for students during the summer of 2014. Amongst the activities recommended for ETC students are the Wheels Festival and the Bournemouth Air Show.
The Wheels Festival is scheduled for the 24th through the 26th of May. The festival is free to attend. There are more than 100 separate events scheduled, so that everyone will find something of interest. For those who love the look and feel of beautiful classic automobiles, many of those will be on display. BMX stunts by the world-class daredevils will be performed.
Alternatively, for those who wish to enjoy the action of different parades, they can choose a location in one of the four viewing stands set up along the beach. There are daily parades, including some in which people can participate. Those interested can watch demonstrations, supercars and monster trucks. Of course, shopping and food vendors will be available to those who prefer this type of recreational pursuit. In the evenings there will be live entertainment and fireworks. Six different event zones are marked for visitors to choose from.
At the other end of the summer season, the community offers the Bournemouth 2014 Air Festival. It is scheduled to run from Thursday, August 28th through Sunday, August 31st. Last year, the Red Arrows performed spectacular feats of flying, enthralling visitors and traders alike. It was recently confirmed that this group will be part of the festivities in 2014 as well.
The Festival site stretches for a mile and a half between the Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers. Last year the Royal Navy and Army had several displays and activities for the public. These included the opportunity to visit a Royal Navy ship. Visitors could wander around the RAF Village with a life-size Chinook mock-up.
At night, there will be a selection of artists performing on stage and on the streets. Spectators can decide which venue they prefer better. The selection of vendors is expected to be large and varied. The activities are free to the public. The entertainment value is high with performers and participants still being announced.
Students are encouraged to use the local events as a way to expand the use of “industry specific” words and phrases. The area around Bournemouth is a premier resort location for people throughout the United Kingdom. Choosing the summer session at the language school provides students with world-class instructors, an accredited course of study and a host of extra-curricular activities to enjoy.
