Captain Dave's Island Time Pets Launches New Website and Expands Product Line

Captain Dave, founder of Island Time Pets, began making nautical dog toys, cat toys, dog leashes and dog collars after realizing that most of what is available today is made overseas and that none of them are hand constructed with natural, non-toxic materials.

“It was my quest to find natural, non-toxic dog toys and cat toys for my own pets that left me asking two questions. “ Why should our friends have to chew on dyed, unknown materials that can’t be good for them? Why can’t these items be quality made in the United States?” says Captain Dave. “At Island Time Pets, I design beautiful and functional pet toys and pet products of the finest nautical rope and twine available and all are handmade in Massachusetts and constructed of American-made materials.”

Captain Dave also introduces a new, navy blue nautical rope dog leash to his line of naturally, nautical handmade dog leashes, collars, and toys for the most discriminating canine companions. Created and hand-spliced in New England by Captain Dave, these three-strand nylon rope leashes are also available in natural or black and can be ordered in 3/8-inch diameter line for smaller dogs or ½-inch diameter line for larger dogs, and in 4- and 6-foot lengths. All hardware is bronze and of the highest possible quality. The three-strand nautical rope used in the leashes is made in the USA. Leashes are $39.99 regardless of size. Designed by Captain Dave himself, the CatNip-n-Grip is cat tested and cat approved to be chewed, tossed, mule-kicked, and cuddled by fun-loving felines. The soft and fuzzy toy is handmade in the USA of 100 percent cotton nautical rope and hand sewn on each end with waxed sail twine using a traditional whipping stitch.
