The Press of Atlantic City referred to a recent study by the Rutgers School of Social Work on the prevalence of gambling in New Jersey. According to the study, nearly seventy percent of New Jersey residents admitted to gambling in the past year either online, in-person or both. Casino gambling in Atlantic City is no longer the sole outlet of gambling addictions in New Jersey.

As mentioned in the Press of Atlantic City's piece, Pryor commented, "This study will help us to target the areas that need attention the most." Thanks to the study, officials have a better chance of addressing gambling issues in the state of New Jersey. Pryor went on to assert that "'[It] is extremely important to get out the message of support, treatment and hope to all residents of the state of New Jersey."

When someone is in need of assistance quitting their gambling habit before it gets out of control, or when a loved one is worried about a gambler who needs help, they can turn to CCGNJ for anonymous and free advice and resources.
