The company manufactures biobased, compostable and sustainable bioplastics. Moreover the recent revenue proceeds are in addition to $500,000 revenue that was previously disclosed on January 23rd, 2013.

Cereplast Inc is also getting more business in reaction to the Italian Application Decree which supports the company’s bioplastic bags and discourages use of traditional plastic bags.
