Cheshire College Offering Credits for Learning New 'WAG' Look Reports False-Eyelashes-Boutique.co.uk

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/27/2012 -- Cheshire College is now offering students a chance to perfect the WAG look in classes. Students can now enroll in the college to learn how to apply fake tans, eyelashes, and roll their hair like famous figures with the WAG look.

Students will also learn how to apply makeup and get perfect hair that looks natural, tangle-free, and bouncy. The leader of the program, Karen Bennison, states that she came up with it by reflecting on popular media, “When we were looking for ideas for commercial courses the teaching staff all agreed that all the girls come in wanting to look like WAGs and have big hair, false eyelashes and full-on make-up,’ she said,

She based the coursework on what students watch on television as well as what they read in magazines. Bennison explains further, “They read glossy magazines, watch The Only Way Is Essex and Desperate Housewives and want to achieve that same hyper-feminine look. So my colleagues and I agreed we should run a course to help them recreate it at home.”

However, Bennison is careful to state that the course’s aim is to help young women emulate what they see with class, without “cloning” themselves. She explains that one of the aims of this coursework is to communicate the message that, “…there’s nothing wrong with being glamorous, but that it can be done with class and style.” The coursework is a response to let the girls be themselves and to “feel confident, elegant, and self-assured,” much like the famous WAG Victoria Beckham.

The course will be a two-day workshop that runs in October in Cheshire at West Cheshire College’s Ellesmere Port campus.
