Cloud 21 PR Headed to the 2013 Sundance Film Festival

Cloud 21 PR announced today its presence and the involvement of its industry clients at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, January 17-27 in Park City, UT.

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/17/2013 -- Cloud 21 PR has scheduled premier activities and amenities for its celebrity clientele, including world-renowned beauty treatments and invitations to gifting suites, exclusive VIP dinner parties, luxury lounges, musical concerts, industry networking events, and film screenings. Throughout the festival, the clients will be visiting photo booths set up by various agencies and industry publications around Park City.

Cloud 21 PR will celebrate its 5th year attending the Sundance Film Festival. Clients in attendance will include:

Olga Segura – Olga’s production company’s most recent film, Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes, has been selected for this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will compete in the U.S. Dramatic Competition category. She has acted alongside the likes of Sharon Stone, Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air), Keri Russell (TV’s Felicity), Dakota Johnson (TV’s Ben and Kate), David Duchovny (TV’s X-Files), Ty Burrell (TV’s Modern Family), Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan), Stacy Keach (American History X), and Hector Jimenez (Nacho Libre). Producciones a Ciegas, the production company Segura founded with Hector Jimenez and Juan Carlos Segura, has produced multiple films in its goal “to integrate and generate a fusion of the independent movie making in both countries [U.S. and Mexico], with the intention of success in the global business.” She has recently finished the film The Garden of Steven.

Juan Carlos Segura – A Mexican-born film producer, Segura co-founded the production company, Producciones a Ciegas, with Hector Jimenez and Olga Segura. He has produced multiple films including Cellmates, Hidden Moon, El Mar Muerto, Goats, and Todo Un Hombre. His production company’s most recent film, Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes, has been selected for this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will compete in the U.S. Dramatic Competition category.

Christo Dimassis - An accomplished and award-winning actor, producer and director Christo Dimassis moved to Los Angeles in 1998 and dedicated himself as an actor and eventually as a producer/actor and director. His first feature-length film, INSIDE IRVIN, demonstrated his talents as lead producer and lead actor, earning several awards for his efforts. Christo and Roger M. Mayer co-founded Brooklyn Reptyle Films a production company whose goal is creating compelling content. The producing team has created nine feature-length films, three documentaries, twenty-five shorts, music videos and commercials. Brooklyn Reptyle’s latest film, THE RAMBLER, premiers at Sundance Film Festival 2013 and stars Dermot Mulroney, Natasha Lyonne and Lindsay Pulsipher; Christo does double duty as actor/producer.

Elana Krausz - While focusing on acting for the past two years, ELANA KRAUSZ, an award winning actor/writer/director/producer, has completed fifteen films, including About Cherry (JAMES FRANCO, HEATHER GRAHAM), The Ninth Moon (MICHAEL MADSEN), Blue Dream (JAMES DUVAL), Shotgun Wedding (KIM SHAW), Spinning Dry (JOHN SAVAGE) and the 2013 Sundance Premier, The Rambler (DERMOT MULRONEY). Two films featuring her work as a multi-hyphenate are Stripped Down and At Risk starring VINCE VAUGHN and RANDY TRAVIS, which earned many national and international film festival awards. Elana’s acting was recognized with awards for New Emerging Talent, Solstice Film Festival and Best Actress, Silver Lake Film Festival. Ms. Krausz founded Visualiner Studios and is currently developing scripts for film, television, and new media; and is highly regarded as an influential source of creative input and business acumen.

Sohrab Mirmontazeri – An Iranian-born film director, Mirmontazeri was named Filmmaker to Watch by Digital Filmmaker Magazine UK after winning the 2005 Audience Choice Award at the New York International Film Festival for his film The Beautiful Wind. Since then, Mirmontazeri has spent over seven years in independent film-making, with over twelve narrative directing titles, including the feature, Blue Door, and the upcoming Sci-Fi/Thriller "Mars" and "A Thousand Dead Roses". Mirmontazeri is also an avid photographer, writer, and graphic designer, and sits at the helm of Mirmont Pictures, which has produced work for CBS, Sundance Channel, HBO, AT&T, Frito Lay, MTV, NYU Abu Dhabi, Emirates University, and countless other narrative and documentary film projects. Mirmontazeri is also the recipient of the Utah Film Critic's Choice Award, CEO of the Utah Film Company, and holds a degree in Film Production from Full Sail University.

Alex Hyde-White – One of the last “contract players” in Hollywood, the British-born American actor was born to act with a stage manager/actress mother and an actor father and has done so in over 80 films and television series. His early roles include television classics such as Quincy M.E., Battlestar Galactica, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Hyde-White has worked with director Steven Spielberg on three occasions: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Catch Me If You Can, and The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. His production company, TMG, released the documentary Three Days of Hamlet last year, which included Richard Chamberlain (Dr. Kildare, The Thorn Birds) and Stefanie Powers (Hart to Hart, McLintock!), and was directed by Hyde-White himself.

Robinette Desrochers – Award-winning writer, director, and producer of short films and television, Desrochers is the current owner of FXD Productions. She has produced and directed Rock Bottom, Go: Game On, and for Gracie just to name a few. Her award-winning Stiletto, won Best Film, Best Cinematography, Best Music Score, Best Acting, and Audience Choice Award at the Demon Chaser Film Challenge. She recently finished her first music video starring international recording artist MadMax. Currently, she is in preproduction on Maveth, a feature film scheduled to begin filming in March 2013.

Stacy Jorgensen – An actress, filmmaker, and producer, Stacy founded her first company, Little Engine Films, in 2009 in order to develop, finance, and produce female driven, independent films. Her first film under the Little Engine banner, “Grey Skies,” went onto much critical acclaim among horror festivals and sci-fi/horror fans, and took home awards including Best Feature at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at the prestigious Shriekfest Film Festival. The film has been sold all over the world to countries like Japan, Germany, China, Austria, Switzerland, and Thailand, followed by a DVD release in 2011 and a world television premiere in 2012. In 2012, Stacy created her current company, Jorgensen Pictures, to produce and co-produce commercial films and television series slated for theatrical and television distribution. Her first project under the Jorgensen Pictures banner, “Strong Enough to Die,” was adapted from Jon Land’s first novel in the Caitlin Strong series. This project is a co-production with Handpicked Films, and is currently in development with Sony Television.

Sherrie Rose - An award winning and critically acclaimed filmmaker, actress and writer has become a diversified force both behind-the-scenes and in front of the camera. She has starred in over 60 films and television shows and is best known for her starring role in the feature film Me and Will opposite Patrick Dempsey, showcasing the talents of Keanu Reeves and Seymour Cassel. She co-produced, directed and wrote the feature, which opened Sundance’s Women in Film series.

Sherrie is an activist working with IFAW and other non-profit organizations concentrating on children, animals and the environment. She is currently in development on several projects and has teamed up with fellow female filmmaker Elana Krausz at Visualiner Entertainment.

Alanna Thompson –A screenwriter and actress originally from Chicago, Alanna’s acting credits include Law and Order: Criminal Intent, One Life to Life, All My Children, a recurring appearance on FX’s Rescue Me as well the stages of New York. As a writer for film and television, Alanna has worked on the CBS procedural UNFORGETTABLE and has sold original pilots, including two brand integration series. Alanna’s stand-up comedy can be seen at New York’s Comic Strip Live.
