Kent visited Yangon, Myanmar, last week as a member of the US – ASEAN Eminent Persons Group. The Group offers recommendations to the leaders on how they should work on improving the US-ASEAN ties.
He also supervised the first delivery of Coca Cola products to make sure everything was in the right place.
The Company will work with Pinya Manufacturing Co Ltd (Pinya) to merge their global expertise with the availabilities of the local soft drink. In addition, Coca Cola is also looking forward to building a bottling entity in Myanmar while the company seeks to bring the best of Coca Cola’s global system practices in Myanmar through this collaboration.
The aim of the Coca Cola Company is to initiate the local production of their goods in Myanmar as soon as possible. Coca Cola has a tradition of manufacturing locally in every segment of the market they serve while Pinya has agreed to the help the Coca Cola Company in spreading throughout the country.
