New emergency alert system CodeRED is expected to be so flexible that the residents will receive alters on landline, cell phones and will also receive text message in case of emergency
Hood River, OR -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/15/2012 -- Residents of North Adams have been urged to register themselves with a new phone based emergency and community alert system associated to the landlines with the name ‘CodeRED’. It is expected that this new alert system will replace the city “sreverse e911” call system by September 18.
Public Safety Commissioner, E. Joahn Morocco, demonstrated in a meeting of the City Council on how can one signup for the new service. During the meeting, Morocco said,
“If you have an unpublished or unlisted phone number, use your cell phone as your primary phone or have a phone through Time Warner, you will need to register your phone number in our new data base,” according to the North Adams Transcript.
Mayor Richard J. Alcombright said that the new alert system was especially setup for city residents and businesses, whereas towns that are associated with the city water supply system such as Williamstown or Clarksburg may also be encouraged to register with the CodeRED system since they will be made aware in case of breaks or water shortage issues.
Morocco said that whenever there are emergencies that really need a quick response time such natural hazards like Hurricane Irene or even water main break or a snow emergency, information may be passed on rapidly.
He added. while criticizing the 911 system, that, “When we use the reverse 911 system, it can take up to a day to two days to get the call out to everyone in our system. With this new system, which is very flexible, we’re able to get the message out to everyone in the database in about 15 minutes.”
One of the benefits of the new system explained by Morocco was that the system is so flexible that in case of emergency people will receive phone calls on their landlines, cell phones and even will receive text message for any particular alert.
GetAnyPrivateinfo.com (http://getanyprivateinfo.com/) facilitates people on getting to know about the unlisted numbers by looking up and searching the details in their huge database through reverse phone number lookup, reverse phone lookup and phone number lookup services.
