San Diego, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/09/2018 -- A consumer who purchased chips for the Big Fish Casino video game offered by Churchill Downs Inc filed a lawsuit over alleged violations of Washington law.

Consumers who created Big Fish Casino accounts on or before March 23, 2015 and lost purchased chips by wagering at Defendant's Big Fish Casino should contact the Shareholders Foundation at mail@shareholdersfoundation.com or call +1(858) 779 - 1554.

The plaintiff alleges that by operating its virtual casino defendant has violated Washington law.

The plaintiff says that the defendant offers a multitude of electronic versions of casino games, such as slot machines, roulette, and black jack to consumers and amongst the games Defendant owns and operates is a popular virtual casino under the name "Big Fish Casino."

The plaintiff claims that the defendant provides a bundle of free "chips" to first-time visitors of its virtual casino that can be used to wager on its games and that after consumers inevitably lose their initial allotment of chips, the Churchill Downs attempts to sell consumers chips starting at $1.99 for 20,000 chips, which consumers then wager in games offered by Churchill Downs to win more chips.

The plaintiff says that the chips won by consumers playing Defendant's games of chance are identical to the chips that Defendant sells and that by wagering 20,000 chips that were purchased for $1.99, consumers have the chance to win hundreds of thousands of additional chips that they would otherwise have to purchase.

The plaintiff alleges that consumers that win big can also cash out by selling their chips to other casino patrons. In fact, Defendant facilitates and profits from the process by which consumers cash out by charging a fee, typically $1.99 for each chip transfer. With a reliable method to exchange chips for cash facilitated by Defendant, it's no surprise that secondary markets for chip transfers have sprung up online as well
