Craft Brewery Southern Sky Brewing Releases First Pale Ale

Kennesaw, GA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/08/2017 -- Fans of pale ales will soon have another option. Southern Sky Brewing is preparing to release its first pale ale, Aperture Pale Ale.

Aperture Pale Ale will be out in kegs in early May and cans in mid-May. It will be available in Southern Sky Brewing's tasting room and in bars, restaurants and growler shops in the near future.

Aperture Pale Ale is a light golden beer that's 5.5 percent alcohol by volume. It's a moderate, refreshing ale with noticeable hop aroma balanced by supporting malt flavors. Southern Sky Brewing brewed it using Experimental hop 06297 and Eureka! hops.

The pale ale came about as brewers experimented with different flavor profiles. They decided to release their favorite, a pale ale that's distinct from others because of its unique tangerine and vanilla taste. The malt profile compliments the sweet tanginess of the hops.

Aperture Pale Ale is the latest beer from Southern Sky Brewing Company, a company that strives to make each beer a unique experience and give the greater Atlanta area's beer lovers something just a little different. Beer lovers can find where to buy Southern Sky Brewing's signature beers on its website.

It's not just about providing tasteful beers like Aperture Pale Ale for Southern Sky Brewing Company. The company is a family owned and operated brewery led by brew master Jon Near, head brewer Josh Ingle and marketing and promotions coordinator Melissa Near.

"This not only makes us unique, but also gives us a special quality that we can bring to the Atlanta beer community," said Jon Near. Because there are no investors, it's solely up to the brew master and family-owned company to make decisions.

"Our family-run business model and our streamlined decision making process gives us flexibility to create new one-offs that are a little bit out there," Near said.

The brewery is located at the intersection of Route 41 and Old Route 41 in Kennesaw, just south of McCollum Airport. Tours are available of the brewery including its all-electric, steam jacketed, seven-barrel system that allows it to produce 21 barrels of beer a week. Visitors can also see the half-barrel pilot system that Jon Near experiments with to come up with new beers like Aperture Pale Ale.
