A West Midands-based retailer is warning homeowners that they may be left behind in the property boom if there home doesn’t match up to buyer’s expectations. The comments from online ironmonger and hardware specialist Ironmongery Online follows research from property specialists NeedaProperty.com that revealed the top ‘turn-offs’ for potential property buyers.
Stourbridge, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/09/2014 -- The list of turn-offs was headed by woodchip wallpaper, mirrored ceilings and nude portraits! Despite their popularity with some, hot tubs were also among the top ten list of features that would put a would-be buyer off, according to the research. An avocado bathroom suite, a collection of stuffed, dead animals and have-a-go 1980s paint effects such as rag-rolling and stencilling were also among the features that house-hunters would be most put-out to find.

In fact, when buyers believe house prices are on the up they will actually pay over-the-odds for houses that have the features they value.”
