Eric Stonestreet Plays Down Rumors Linking Him to Charlize Theron Dating Fiasco Reports TaoOfBadass101.com

San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/01/2012 -- Eric Stonestreet, best known for his role as Cam on Modern Family, acknowledged the rumors that linked to a relationship with Charlize Theron.

The actor took time during the recent Emmy’s to laugh off rumors that the two were dating, saying “I’m offended that somebody thinks her taste is [that bad].”

“Do not insult my friend like that,” Stonstreet added laughingly when asked about Theron. Rumors have swirled about the actor’s love life in the past, which Stonestreet also acknowledged.

“A few years ago it was Scarlett Johansson, then it was Mila Kunis, then Whoopi Goldberg, we were rumored to be dating for a while,” he joked.

The popular actor was quick to admit that the rumors weren’t exactly upsetting him. Stonestreet joked that he hoped the gossip would catch the Oscar Winner’s attention. “I’m hoping she sees the story and calls and says, ‘Maybe we should have coffee … Maybe we should grab a little food,’”

Stonestreet recently ended his relationship with Katherine Toarkaz. Rumors of the actor and Theron began after the pairs meeting at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner.

Stonestreet’s comedy hit “Modern Family” grabbed several Emmy Awards. The actor won Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy, beating out co stars Ty Burrell, Jesse Ferguson, and Ed O’Neill, as well as “New Girl” actor Max Greenfield and SNL star Bill Hader.
