Phoenix, AZ -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/17/2018 -- Kimberli Lewis, Host of VoiceAmerica Business Channel's Leadership Beyond Borders, takes a deep dive into the SIINDA Landscape Survey on the state of digital presence among small and medium businesses in Europe. The study, done in cooperation with Silktide, reveals not only what small and medium businesses are doing in Europe but recognizes a world-wide trend in digital.

The episode airs on Tuesday, 28 August at 3:00 PT and will be made available to stream on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher, after the initial airing

In this episode, Kimberli Lewis interviews Renato Bottini , Business Development Director at Silktide and Paul Wood, digital and local search expert, who give insights into what SMBs are doing in the online world and about the opportunities available for SMBs. They also discuss how suppliers serving the digital market can use these insights.

The experts talk about what they discovered in the survey by looking at the Online Presence Rating Score of over 110.000 European SMBs. The scores were based on a weighted average of 27 different variables from build quality to content to social media. The scores reflected the current industry best practice for building accessible, engaging, and search-optimised websites.

While search engine algorithms are a "black box", often drawing from over 200 signals, the SIINDA Landscape Survey in cooperation with Silktide, recognizes the key factors that make a difference in online presence and which an SMB can control. This episode gives tips on what those are and how to get control.

European SMBs account for two out of every three jobs (66.7%) and 58.6% of value added within the European business economy. The United States' 30 million SMBs account for nearly two-thirds of net new private sector jobs in recent decades. According to Kimberli Lewis, this is why this SIINDA study is so important and in this interview the experts talk not only about what is going on in the digital landscape but also highlight how SMBs can get better results.
