Girls with No Name: An Inspiring Photobook Launches Kickstarter Campaign

 

Badajoz, Spain -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/27/2017 -- Girls with No Name is an inspiring photobook that blends photography and journalism against several social issues of vital importance faced by women. The photobook is an effort by a Spanish coupe to raise awareness against problems such as social invisibility and underage prostitution. The project is currently raising funds and seeking generous community support on the crowdfunding platform of Kickstarter and everyone is welcome to make generous contributions.

In addition, the project will be entirely documented in Mabella, a crowded slum in Sierra Leone and it features seven underage girls that are unfortunately engaged in prostitution. The poor country has been suffering from several issues ranging from the displacement of thousands of children to Ebola virus outburst and also civil war.

All funds raised through this Kickstarter campaign will help the creators of this project to travel to Sierra Leone and cover this entire project in two weeks. Moreover, these funds will contribute in commissioning the first edition of this book that will publish 300 to 500 copies. Furthermore, the photobook will be published primarily in the English language but will also include Spanish and eventually French translations.
