Gladwyne, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/11/2018 -- This spring, Gladwyne Montessori established an endowed scholarship fund in honor of retiring teacher Maggie Brown Dougherty. Maggie served as a teacher in Gladwyne Montessori's primary program for 38 years.
A generous past parent anonymously offered a $10,000 gift toward establishing this endowed scholarship in Maggie's honor. Members of the Gladwyne Montessori community responded to this challenge, generating an additional $10,300 in contributions for this scholarship fund. This fund will allow many future students to benefit from a Montessori education.
Gladwyne Montessori is an independent Montessori school located along Philadelphia's Main Line. For over 50 years, they have offered a nurturing environment that guides children to become lifelong learners and positive contributors to their community. This American Montessori Society accredited school provides programs for two to twelve-year-olds that help them to develop into confident, curious, and academically superior students.
