Healing Warriors Program clinic serves veterans and active duty population by providing Acupuncture and other therapies for pain, anxiety and PTSD.
Ft. Collins, CO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/16/2013 -- Last year, 185 active-duty Army soldiers committed suicide, which is more than the 176 soldiers killed in battle in Afghanistan in the same year. Since 2001, the Army's annual death toll from suicide has more than tripled, with other branches experiencing similar statistics. Less reported is the impact to military families when their service member struggles with pain, traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic stress.
It's time to take action. Healing Warriors Program launched its first clinic offering non-invasive therapies for pain, PTSD, anxiety and other ailments in July 2013. The goal of the Healing Warriors Program is to provide integrated therapy options and self-care training to manage and alleviate pain, PTSD, and other symptoms from the injuries experienced by service men and women and their families.
Healing Warriors Program (HWP) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The HWP clinics are necessary and effective. The program’s therapy options are helping service members and their families with relief of pain, anxiety, stress, and sleep disorders, and is improving their overall day-to-day quality of life. The Healing Warriors Program team is thrilled at the faster than anticipated growth, but realize that they are outgrowing the space faster than expected. This will soon result in treatment delays that are so vital to the continued good health of this community. Indiegogo community support contributions go directly to fund the Healing Warriors Program clinics, ensuring that the team can deliver timely treatments to the service men and women, and their families, who so desperately need these services.
This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: October 02, 2013 - December 01, 2013 (11:59pm PT).
