London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/09/2017 -- The Independent, an online newspaper releasing news on culture, lifestyle, technology and sport have published an article which states that half of the British public do support more immigration of highly skilled workers. A poll which took place by Ipsos Mori and Kings College London found that fifty-two per cent of British adults agreed with more migrants coming in to do highly skilled jobs.

On the other hand, it was stated that the public weren't as supported of lower skilled migrants coming into the UK.

1.5 million non UK nationals are employed by hospitality and health sector as well as wholesale and retail – this infers that immigration is important. The poll also stated that around forty-eight per cent of the public believed immigration had a positive impact where as thirty-four per cent disagreed saying it had a negative impact.
