He also added that there lies a better-than-expected carrier support for the Blackberry 10, with carriers agreeing to volume commitments for the first two quarters after the launch. Misek said he's been surprised by the strong initial positive feedback from carriers, because it is one of their last chances to avoid being locked into a long-term smartphone operating system duopoly with Apple and Android.
Research in Motion Ltd. is expected to launch its Blackberry 10 smartphones later this month.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) filed a suit against its former employees who stepped down from the company to join rival Nvidia.

The computer chip maker filed suit against former Vice President Robert Feldstein and former managers Manoo Desai and Nicolas Kociuk in U.S. District court in Massachusetts.
ZDNet published a report that Advanced Micro Devices former vice president copied and transferred sensitive business files when he left the company.
"Advanced Micro Devices will always take action to aggressively protect its confidential, proprietary and trade secret information," a company spokesman told TheStreet, in an emailed statement.
