Professional Network for filmmakers: find cast, crew, equipment, locations and more. Everything one will need in one place.
San Antonio, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/19/2013 -- Probably the hardest part besides writing a script and getting the budget ready for a film is the search of: cast, crew, locations, equipments, and all the stuff people need to shoot. The team on this project has been there. Posting on Facebook, spreading the word among friends or school bulletins, it's a hard process that they have just made easier. They are creating a professional network where people will be able to login, create a profile to post, and join projects.
Using The Film Network (TFN) is simple, say someone has a script ready, but really that's all he has. He could then login to The Film Network (TFN), create a user, a profile and post a project.
They can add a description or tagline of what their project or film is about, and specify what cast and crew they have, or are in need of. Once the project is posted other users can see it, if someone is interested in a certain position they can send them a notification or contact request. Then it's up to them, if they think that person is an ideal candidate to be his director, they can accept his notification and the film will have a director.
The team on this project is in the process of finishing the final details for the design of their network, which they will share once completed. Furthermore, they are developing and started coding some of the modules for the TFN. They are looking at a 4 months development. Every penny helps and each cent will be spent on the development so they can successfully launch The Film Network.
"As a filmmaker and Motion Picture student not only are you told, but you constantly want to get involved in film projects. I remember using the school bulletin, surfing craiglist in search for film projects or crew. Sometimes (most of the times) I will come up empty handed. And I remember saying to myself...there's just got to be an easier way." - Pamela Longoria, Designer and Motion Picture expert for The Film Network
This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: August 07, 2013 - September 23, 2013 (11:59pm PT).
