American Cities Taking the Top Three Spots for Irish Tourists
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/05/2012 -- A recent survey revealed that America is the number one destination for Irish tourists this fall. FlexibleTrips conducted a survey that listed three American cities taking the top three spots that Irish tourists would like to visit, reports The Irish Independent newspaper.
The three cities are New York, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. They topped the survey’s list of cities that Irish tourists would consider to be their dream destinations.
These findings are not surprising; however, since the US earns a lot more when converting Euros to Dollars.
Flexibletrips employee John Grehan elaborates, “Despite the distance involved, these cities are most people’s idea of a dream break.”
America is not the only country to be the dream break. European countries make an appearance on the survey as well.
Venice came in at number four, Ibiza at the five spot, and Gran Canaria at six. Prague and Paris are seventh and eighth, while Fuerteventura sat at nine and Barcelona at the final spot.
“We Irish are clearly attached to our sun holidays in the European hotspots, but the US still holds special appeal, be it for the shopping in New York, the nightlife in Las Vegas or the style of San Francisco,” said Grehan.
