Las Vegas, NV -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/15/2013 -- Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (USA) (NASDAQ:IVAN) rallied in its last trading session and gained 6.89 percent to close at $0.791. Yesterday’s surge was also supported by strong volume of 1.2 million shares.

Ivanhoe Energy Inc has recently filed completion of acquisition and disposition of assets as per regulation FD disclosure. According to recent disclosure, Ivanhoe’s wholly owned subsidiary Sunwing Zitong Energy Ltd assigned 100 percent of its participating interest in Zitong Production Sharing Contract to Shell Chian Exploration and Production Company. In the result of this transaction the company has received the proceeds of $105 million out of which $20 million is cash payment while $85 million is reimbursement of previous costs.

The company is also running two main projects which Tamarack project and Ecuadorian Pungarayacu oil field. Both projects ensure heavy proceeds for the company.
