Kansas Star Arena to Host Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo + Rick Springfield

Three high-energy Grammy-winning rock ’n’ roll performers in one show on July 17

Mulvane, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/01/2014 -- Rock legends Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo + Rick Springfield will co-headline the “Together Live Tour” at the Kansas Star Arena on July 17. The Grammy winning, multi-platinum selling artists are joining forces beginning June 27 for a summer North American tour that will no doubt be a hits-packed concert event for generations of fans.

“I always thought it would be a kick ass tour with the boy/girl thing and us both having high energy rock and roll shows,” Springfield recently told Billboard Magazine. “I am very excited for the dates. We both have a big catalog of familiar songs so I think the audiences will definitely get it.”

“35 years ago, Heartbreaker (on the debut album ”In The Heat of The Night”) was the catalyst for it all,” said Pat Benatar. It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed. We’re excited to be celebrating this personal and musical milestone. The summer tour should be an incredible, shared experience with the audience."

Benatar's mezzo-soprano vocal range and Giraldo’s trail-blazing work as a guitarist, producer and songwriter have sold more than 26 million albums and charted 19 Top 40 singles including “Love is a Battlefield,” “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Heartbreaker,” “We Live For Love,” “Promises In The Dark,” “We Belong” and more. Benatar is a four-time Grammy winner with six platinum and four gold albums to her credit. Billboard Magazine ranked Benatar as one of the most successful female rock vocalists of all-time.

Rick Springfield has sold over 25 million albums and launched 17 Top 40 hits including “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch,” as well as a 1981 Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal win for his No. 1 hit single “Jessie’s Girl.” Along with his notable career in music, Springfield is also an accomplished actor and New York Times bestselling author.
