Leaving Children in a Hot, Parked Car Is Extremely Dangerous

It was reported in the Daily Mail, in the UK, that an innocent child was left unattended in a scorching hot vehicle. The temperature was 20c degrees outside when the parent left their child in the car and headed off unassumingly to do some shopping.

The parent received a 12 month sentence from a magistrate for this reckless action. This has set a precedent to other parents, helping to put a stop this abusive practice. The court now considers this a very serious offence.

Chris Cloke, head of the Child Protection Department in the UK said “one should never leave an unattended child in a car, especially on a hot day and I am pleased to see this action taken by the courts".
