Beyonce opens up to Oprah about her life behind the stage
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/25/2013 -- Beyonce's documentary has actually turned out just as the title imagines: a dream come true. An HBO documentary crew has followed the star, delving into her life behind all the smoke and mirrors of fame. The numbers for the documentary are said to be nearly 2 million in total viewers. That is the most a documentary has ever received on the network since the 2004 Nielsen changes were made on how viewing data is measured.
“Life is But a Dream” attracted a lot of interest form Beyonce's base audience in the United States, despite her critics being rather adamant about not taking the documentary too seriously as a true documentary.
Still, it was not merely HBO who did well as a result of the 'Single Ladies' sing, as Oprah Winfrey's own network (aptly titled OWN) received 1.3 million turning in to watch the star get an impromptu quiz from the host.
In both the interview and the documentary, Beyonce was candid about her romance and life with Jay Z, and her bond with her daughter Blue Ivy.
Beyonce opened up to the host, stating "I definitely want another child. After this next tour, maybe I'll have another baby. I did a show three months after I gave birth [to Blue Ivy], which was really crazy. I had clearly never given birth, and I didn't know that I would gain 60 pounds!"
The singer opined about her daughter further, noting: "My daughter introduced me to myself. Motherhood made everything make sense. [Blue] is hilarious and she is fire. Lord, am I going to have me a time. She's very smart. She's doing flash cards. She's beautiful."
