Liquor Control Board of Ontario acknowledged Hytrol and its Integration Partners Norpak and Columbia Machines as they achieved high efficiencies with proprietary, patent-pending pallet load-building systems. Judy Rice, Contributing Editor for Packaging World reported that the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, (LCBO) a Canadian provincial Crown corporation in Ontario, Canada, processes more than 50 million cases and runs a 500,000 square feet warehouse. The Durham Retail Service Center was the recipient of the 2015 Supply Chain Achievement Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in recognition of their patent-pending load-building system. LCBO Executive VP George Soleas said, "Without the talent, vision, and commitment of the team at LCBO, Hytrol, Norpak, Millar Systems, and Columbia Machine, there is no way this would have been possible."

Hytrol Integration Partner Hoj Engineering Provides Backcountry Unique Solution Increasing Fulfillment Space

LogoHoj Engineering, Hytrol's integration partner, worked with Backcountry to develop a unique solution capable of providing an increase in their logistic footprint and fulfillment space, while reducing processing costs and shipping expenses. The system is comprised of several customized applications, one of which provides a noteworthy approach to the traditional "pick and pass" order fulfillment process. This solution utilizes an overhead conveyor spine to vertically sort product to the three levels of the pick module. This allows the main conveyor line to transport customer-order totes only, while replenishment and empty totes are transported directly to their specified zone.
