LoPresti to Debut Their Latest Innovation at AOPA Convention 2011 the "NeverFlat" Lifesaver Tire

Just good solid engineering, but held to a higher standard. This is the exception, It IS rocket science. Specifically, the technology comes from the US Space program and in particular the Lunar Rover.

The challenge in that program was to create an infallible tire, which could survive the harsh environment of the Lunar surface. The tire worked flawlessly (As well as the Rover) and the rest is history.

LoPresti has been developing this very technology to meet needs of the General Aviation market. However, it’s only recently that innovations in graphite material science have made this product possible. We call it the NeverFlat™ because it's just about impossible to puncture this tire and even if you could it still wouldn't go flat.

The first tire in this series was introduced at the yearly Cirrus owners gathering in August. It is designed to exceed the performance characteristics required for the Cirrus SR20 and SR22, Siegel said. “Using this new proprietary technology we've seen improved tire performance in all measurable areas. Wear, traction and rolling resistance,” Siegel said. The tire is being offered with a 10-year warranty against a flat.
