Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/06/2013 -- “Love is out there for you if you are ready to get to its essence,” stated Ama Yawson, co-founder of LoveEssence.com. This is why Black Women: State of the Union (BWSOTU) is hosting a "Valentine Weekend of Love,” a night of dinner and theater that will take place Feb 15-17 as part of the first weekend of BWSOTU’s 2013 theater performances.

BWSOTU has partnered with Company of Angels and Ensenada Restaurant & Bar to create a dinner and theater experience open to everyone—women and men, singles, couples and groups - to come and celebrate love in all of its forms. “BWSOTU believes in community,” asserts Kila Kitu, BWSOTU co-producer. “And, we're doing everything we can to foster that. It begins with realizing that love's essence comes in many forms and allowing the universe to reveal abundant possibilities.” Come and receive your love’s essence with BWSOTU.

Ensenada Restaurant & Bar is offering BWSOTU theatergoers a 20% discount off their dinner checks, and a free dessert (while supplies last) if they present their theater program or ticket at the restaurant during Valentine’s weekend.

Black Women: State of the Union...Taking Flight, the theatrical performance portion of this community event, will take place February 15-24 (8pm on Fridays and Saturdays; 3pm on Sundays) at Company of Angels at The Alexandria Hotel (501 South Spring Street, 3rd Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90013). Tickets to the Black Women: State of the Union...Taking Flight are $20 ($15 Senior/Student discount). For group rates, contact leesherman@BWSOTU.org.
