Synchrono defines Demand-Driven Manufacturing as a manufacturing method that enables a synchronized, closed loop between customer orders, production scheduling, and manufacturing execution - all while synchronizing the flow of materials and resources across the supply chain. The key components are synchronization and flow. Demand-Driven Manufacturing is associated with response planning and "Pull" manufacturing and supply chain methods. The two main continuous improvement approaches that advocate the Demand/Pull method are Lean Manufacturing and Constraints Management.

Warehouse Mobile Solutions, the leader in logistics solutions is the maker of the state-of-the-art tablet directed, barcode and order fulfillment solution, WarehouseOS. The WarehouseOS customer does not initiate the process by shipping everything. WarehouseOS determines using tags, which orders are fully available to ship. WarehouseOS will pull orders from ShipStation which are awaiting shipment. Typically the orders will be allocated as they drop into WarehouseOS, if fully allocated the ShipStation order will be tagged as "allocated." Within WarehouseOS, partially allocated orders will be placed on hold, preventing short orders from being dropped to iPads and tagged as "short" in ShipStation. From ShipStation, the customer now has the visibility to print shipping documents only for orders tagged "allocated."

Sintering is a process that improves the characteristics of woven wire mesh by joining together all the contact points of all the wires together to create a mesh whose wires are firmly fused in place. Manual material handling (MMH) work contributes to a large percentage of the over half a million cases of musculoskeletal disorders reported annually in the United States. Musculoskeletal disorders often involve strains and sprains to the lower back, shoulders, and upper limbs. They can result in protracted pain, disability, medical treatment, and financial stress for those afflicted with them; employers often find themselves paying the bill, either directly or through workers' compensation insurance, at the same time they must cope with the loss of the full capacity of their workers.

Effective constraints Management is particularly critical to keep production flowing in discrete, ETO (engineer-to-order) and MTO (make-to-order) Demand-Driven Manufacturers. Because Demand-Driven Manufacturing environments are more agile and adaptive, they are in a better position to manage and leverage constraints in the system to drive production flow. Synchrono uniquely helps manufacturers to both manage constraints and improve flow through CONLOAD, a patented scheduling process. CONLOAD releases work into production based on the capacity of the constraint(s) in the system. Doing so keeps flow at its peak throughout the production process, eliminating bottlenecks, aging WIP and inventory.
