London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/31/2013 -- Graduate recruitment specialist, Meet The Real Me has kick-started 2013 with a tour of universities around the country, aimed at bringing its innovative 'e-me’ video CV service to the attention of students interested in pursuing media graduate jobs and sales jobs.
Since the start of 2013, the University Partnership Manager Martin Patrick from Meet The Real Me has visited Northampton University, University East Anglia- London, and Bath Spa University to run employability presentations and introduce the company's e-me video profiles to the students. These visits followed a successful session at Swansea Metropolitan University's Employer Fair in December 2012. Bath Spa University has now joined the university partnership scheme as of January 2013. They are currently putting a university online campaign in place to introduce the 'e-me' technology to their students during the current academic term.
Meet The Real Me runs a bespoke University Partnership scheme, aimed at spreading the word about its e-me Video CV technology and recruitment services to the university sector. In return, the company offers universities career education workshops on employer’s expectations and how to manage an online job campaign. The University of Northampton is the latest to join the scheme, following the Meet The Real Me presentation that took place there earlier this month.
Martin Patrick, University Partnership Manager for Meet The Real Me said:
“We have been delighted with the interest shown in our e-me Video CV service by universities and business schools around the UK. At this time of year, students are starting to think about what they are going to do after graduating in the summer, and we are pleased to be able to show them this easy, yet innovative way to get their job applications noticed straight away.”
Meet The Real Me 'e-mes' are simple to create and generate a great deal of interest amongst employers when sent alongside a traditional CV as part of an application for a sales job or media job. Candidates use a webcam to create a short Video CV, or ‘e-me’, to present their personal, academic and professional experience. The video format allows candidate’s personality to shine through and compliments their academic achievements and career goals.
E-mes have been recognised by candidates and employers alike as a highly effective way for a graduate jobs applicant to make a lasting first impression. Many additional benefits, such as the ability to read body language and assess character can be derived from such a visual application, which helps both parties reach a mutually beneficial employment decision.
Martin Patrick concludes, “A new year brings new intentions, resolutions and goals. For university and business school students who are determined to make 2013 the year they land their dream graduate job, the Meet The Real Me e-me could well be just the thing they need to get started on a great media or sales career.”
