Philosophy of Coaching Begins ICF-Accredited Certification Program for Future Life and Business Coaches
Portland, OR -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/22/2014 -- The life coach and corporate coach industry is booming, bringing in an estimated $2 billion annually. Personal and professional coaches seek to expand and improve their skills and differentiate themselves from competitors by becoming certified by the International Coach Federation (ICF), and New Vibe Training is offering a six-month certification program starting in February.
Module 1, Philosophy of Coaching, establishes a solid understanding of the origins of coaching. Students learn about the fundamentals of philosophy and psychology and learn about human behavior and personality types, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment. Course activities also allow them to practice what they learn through live practice acting as a life coach or business coach.
New Vibe Training Founder and Director, Carl Casanova, will expose students to key coaching knowledge during the two-day Philosophy of Coaching module. When asked what students should expect from the course, Carl said, “The purpose of module one is to engage in the essential ontological language, as well as deepening the awareness of assisting others in their purpose. We practice live coaching with each student and new learning in each unit. This course is designed as an in-depth exploration of the core motivational elements of being human and how to coach to make an impact on the world.”
Module 1: Philosophy of Coaching will be held at the George Fox University Portland Center in southwest Portland on Friday, February 7 and Saturday, February 8, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There are six modules total in the six-month ICF certification program offered by New Vibe Training.
