Hecla Mining Company (NYSE:HL) shares jumped 1.44% to $4.23. Global Hunter Securities upgraded shares of HL from a neutral rating to a buy rating in a research note issued to investors on Mar. 12. The firm currently has $6.25 target price on the stock, up from their previous target price of $5.25.

Additionally, the company will begin trading ex-dividend on March 14, 2013. A cash dividend payment of $0.0125 per share is scheduled to be paid on March 25, 2013. Shareholders who purchased HL stock prior to the ex-dividend date are eligible for the cash dividend payment. This represents an -44.44% decrease from the prior quarter.

AK Steel Holding Corporation(NYSE:AKS) shares jumped 1.40% to $3.61. The company, on Mar. 12, said that it plans to release its first quarter 2013 financial results before the opening of trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

Additionally, the company, on Mar. 14, said that Stephanie S. Bisselberg has been named Vice President, Human Resources, effective April 1, 2013. She succeeds Lawrence F. Zizzo, who is retiring on March 31, 2013 following a 35 year career in the steel industry, including serving the last nine years as AK Steel's Vice President, Human Resources.
