Liam Payne concedes he has dated since breakup
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/05/2012 -- One Direction star Liam Payne said that after his breakup with dancer Danielle Peazer, he went out on a date with singer Leona Lewis.
But Payne said he wants to maintain his friendship with Peazer, whom he dated for two years. “Danielle is great,” Payne said, according to Entertainmentwise.com. “I really hope we can still be friends.”
Payne, 19, added that Peazer is not obsessed by fame or money but that she sometimes borrowed from him. “She was talking about dying her hair blond and I said she should,” Payne said. “She said she couldn’t afford it – which was made. She would even ask me for the money for that.”
He said that he and his band mates are feeling pressure and that he is particularly concerned about Zayn Malik.
Payne said that he would look out for Malik, who has been a victim of online bullying.
“He’s had a terrible time on Twitter, as did Danielle,” Payne said. “I don’t think he’s quite adjusted to it yet. I’m sure he’ll get it.”
Their time in the band has brought them all together, he said. “It’s mad to think I didn’t know them two years ago and now they’re my best mates,” Payne said. “There is going to come a time when it all finishes, and I just hope we stay mates.”
The Daily Star has reported that management is pushing the 1D members to keep up their clean image.
Celebrity watchers speculate that Malik might be first to buckle under the pressure.
“They won’t have longevity,” celebrity blogger Perez Hilton said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Zayn leaves first.”
