E cigarette ordinance got approved in the Orange Park Town Council and restricted the sale of electronic cigarette.
Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/05/2013 -- The Orange Park City Council has given 5-0 votes to pass the e cigarette ordinance. As per this ordinance, e cigarettes sales would be banned to those who are below the age of 18, along with restricting the electronic cigarette use at those places where tobacco smoking is not allowed. Also, the display of the e cigarette products has been included in the ordinance.
"I don't believe that forcing people to share the same areas as smokers who are trying to quit smoking is a good idea," said Christopher Johnston, a big advocate of electric cigarette and e cigarette store in Columbus, Georgia and Alabama. Johnston says he keeps the products behind the counter and sells the electronic cigarette products only to above 18 people but what exceptional this ordinance has included is that e cigarette users can only smoke in areas where other smokers can.
Anyone found violating the Orange Park ordinance would be fined $100 for the first time while it can go up to $500 for repeated offenses. E cigarette reviews revealed that smokers have no problem in prohibiting the sale of electronic cigarette products to minors. In fact many expressed happiness over this prohibition.
But the display of different e cigarette brands products have been questioned by many smokers who feel hiding the electronic cigarette products behind the counter is no solution.
