Founded in 1963, Crawford Packaging Materials Ltd. began as an industrial paper distributor founded by Dick Crawford. The owner of a polyethylene extrusion facility in London, Ontario, Crawford introduced the company to the extruded film market. In 1981 Crawford Packaging was sold to its present owner, Clarence Covey, who expanded the firm into the industrial-automotive markets where the company has enjoyed strong growth and market penetration. The firm continued to expand throughout the 1990s, adding new supply sources and forging key supplier relationships throughout the industrial sector.
