Peterson Thailand and the Development CAFE Collaborate to Scale Use of Blockchain in Asian Agribusiness – Values, Transparency & Impact

Bangkok, Thailand -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/27/2018 -- Peterson Projects and Solutions (Thailand) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The Development CAFE (Indonesia) to channel new investment into blockchain solutions to increase the transparency and sustainability of Asian agribusiness and agroforestry. "Across Asia, blockchain technologies will increase better investment into agribusiness and forestry, historically high-risk business models. We're excited to be creating new values-based impact for business, people and the environment," said Rachel Zedeck, Director of Peterson Thailand.

As a disruptive technology, Blockchain can be harnessed to ensure we meet the needs of the world's most vulnerable affected by conflict and climate change. "DevCAFE provides frugal innovation solutions, ensuring human need leads technology, rather than technology governing us. .The relationship with Peterson offers us a new opportunity to work more with private sector actors who share common values for creating Social Impact" Valentine J Gandhi, Founder of The Development CAFE.

Asia's Rice Blockchain

In April 2018, Peterson will trial its rice blockchain offering smallholder farmers a smart contract to be complimented by token-based carbon incentives.

What is Blockchain?
