The National Air Duct Cleaning Association recommends cleaning air ducts every three to five years.Ross thinks this is not often enough and recommends at least bi-annually if not annually.He added, "The weather here in the Mid-Atlantic can certainly change and change quickly.These large swings in weather are not good for a home HVAC.The warm, moist air coming in from the ocean also has a strong effect on air duct quality.Most people know that mold and mildew love these environments."
