The continued ambiguation of the term ‘escorts service’ with that of prostitution has left many escorts agencies today to come out, but not necessarily in the open to stress the legitimate context of their work.

Likewise, they asserted that “just like the mushrooming spa and massage services becoming popular today, theirs too is a legitimate business.”

“What makes escort service more acceptable and not legally compromising compared to street prostitution which is prohibited by law, is that men pay for time spent, companionship and other services that do not even involve sex,” the statement said.

“For all we know, mutual attractions may to a large measure, have taken over the contentious and commonly held perception that client-escort relationship is downright one-way street,” the statement stressed.
