Kirk Cousins gets moving help from his teammates
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/17/2012 -- American football quarterback, Kirk Cousins, of the National Football League’s Washington Redskins moved to his new apartment in Ashburn on Wednesday night as his teammates Chris Cooley and Tom Compton helped the 24-year-old star player move into his new home.
After a full day of practice with Washington Redskins, Cousins revealed that he was busy moving into his new apartment all night.
This news seemed to confuse a few of his teammates. They wondered, with the rest of us, why Cousins would take on such a difficult job when he can certainly afford to hire movers.
It seems like the quarterback duo of the NFL, Robert Griffin and Kirk Cousins, are quite frugal. Griffin chooses to drive a more modest vehicle while Cousins prefers moving on his own. While some might be wondering why veteran football player Chris Cooley didn’t advise Cousins to hire movers, Cousins said that those who know Cooley won’t be surprised that he stepped up to help.
“He’s one of the veterans who’s been really friendly, real helpful. I just told him, Yeah, I’m moving into an apartment, I need to rent furniture, I need to get in touch with a furniture rental company. And he said Actually, I have a bunch of leftover furniture from moving my mom and moving my brother. It’s sitting in my garage, I want it out. Whatever you don’t take, I’ll probably just get rid of. If you could take it, you’re helping me,” Cousins said, according to Washingtonpost.com.
After experiencing how difficult it is to move into a new apartment without the help of a mover company, 24-year-old Kirk Cousins admitted that next time he will hire some movers and spare the life of his teammates.
