Learn why outsourced branding is gaining steam, and how it can help your company
San Francisco, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/21/2013 -- In the last handful of years has seen a higher total of outsourced branded content in the technological marketplace. ReadableContent.com recently released an infographic that caters to this very fact, and the numbers behind it. According to the data from the 12 th annual industry study handled by the Custom Content Council, branded content has reached record levels within the past handful of years.
According to Readable Content, there has been a 13% increase in overall spending within the last two years. That is coupled with the fact that 79% of marketers are attempting to shift into content banding says that the trend is one that is set to continue in the near future. Those are not the only positive numbers for the custom branding sector, as more than half of the companies are reporting that outsourcing is at minimum a portion of the content creation they partook in within the 2012 fiscal year. Somewhere between 66-74% of content that is created in marketing ends up somewhere on a social media effort.
There is money to be had in the creative content as well, as the average spent on branded content outsourcing reached over $370,000, a new record. Nearly $1 million was pend if the data was focused on those who exclusively outsourced their branding content.
With all this focus on rebranding, there had to be a particular reason for it. Companies would not simply jump over to a new form unless they saw a purpose in it. ReadableContent.com reports there are four main reasons for such a branding strategy. Educating the customer on the product and brand is of utmost importance, as is creating brand loyalty. Through education can come loyalty, and vice versa, but both are needed for continued interest from a customer. Up-selling is also a main reason for the endeavor, and all three of these initial reasons lead to customer retention.
The infographic also explains the importance of particular subtle touches, such as knowing how to handle which fonts to use, color scheme basics, and utilization of objective language to bolster each of the four important aspects of using creative custom branding.
