Firms from the U.S. and Europe to Brazil and China are Invited to Join the Wild Ride to Profits Sponsoring High-Frequency Trading Leaders Forum 2011, "How Speed Traders Leverage Cutting-Edge Strategies in the Post-Flash Crash World", Hosted by Golden Networking, now in Hong Kong, Chicago, Sao Paulo and Singapore

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/18/2011 -- Firms in technology, consulting and financial services, from the U.S. and Europe to Brazil and China, are invited to join the wild ride to profits in the speed trading world sponsoring Golden Networking’s High-Frequency Trading Leaders Forum 2011, Hong Kong, September, 19-21, Chicago, October 3-5, Sao Paulo, October 24-26, and Singapore, November 21-23, through any of these terrific categories, Platinum, Gold and Silver, or through additional options that include sponsoring a breakfast, a lunch or a networking reception.

As reported in The Wall Street Journal, the stock market's recent wild swings have unsettled many investors, but they have led to record profits for high-frequency traders following months of disappointing returns, industry analysts and money managers said. "A subset of the investing world, high-frequency traders use powerful computers to identify fleeting price movements in stocks and other securities, including currencies and commodities, buying and selling at speeds measured in fractions of a second. High-frequency traders have roughly tripled their stock trades this month, estimates Tabb Group, a markets-research firm in New York. That has boosted their share of overall U.S. stock trading volume to about 65%, up from about 53% during the months before the August turmoil, according to the research firm. That increase has come amid unusually heavy trading; on Aug. 8, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average sank 635 points, New York Stock Exchange composite volume saw its fourth-biggest trading day on record. On that same day, high-frequency traders made record profits of about $60 million in U.S. stock markets alone, Tabb estimates. That doesn't sound like a huge amount in the context of global markets, but that daily profit—while likely not sustainable, analysts and traders say—would translate into an annual gain of about $15 billion."
