Scott Tucker Lends His Support to Long Beach Race

Scott Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports team began the defense of their 2011 ALMS P2 championship with a convincing victory at Sebring.

 

Lawrence, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/16/2012 -- Fresh from his 3rd successive win in the American Le Mans Series season opening Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring last month the five time national driving champion Scott Tucker has been lending his support to the next event in the ALMS series, the Long Beach Street Race from Long Beach, Ca. The renowned street track in Southern California is always a fans favorite with the ALMS race joining an IndyCar Series race and a celebrity race as part of the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend which is ran on the outskirts of Los Angeles.

Level 5 Motorsports owner and driver Scott Tucker popular has been speaking about the popular stop on the ALMS schedule, lending his support to the race stating that Long Beach is a great event, and according to Tucker the circuit is very unique. Tucker went on to add that he is really looking forward to the race as we always see great crowds there.

Scott Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports team began the defense of their 2011 ALMS P2 championship with a convincing victory at Sebring saw Tucker and team-mates Christophe Bouchut and Joao Barbosa win the P2 Class and finish in overall 4th place in their #055 HPD ARX-03b car. Scott Tucker and his Level 5 Motorsports team-mates will be looking for a repeat performance at Long Beach in order to keep their hopes of retaining the P2 championship on the right track.

Scott Tucker is well aware of the increased competition lining up on the grid in the P2 class and his hoping the victory at Sebring will help the team with their confidence going into the Long Beach event. According to Scott Tucker the competition they will face is season is very strong, he went on to add that Level 5 Motorsports had a good run at Sebring and they showed they have what it takes to win. New entries in the ALMS P2 class this season are Black Swan Racing and Conquest Endurance who will be pushing Level 5 Motorsports all the way round the streets of Long Beach in mid April.
